The Bosjes Estate is situated in the Breede Valley. It takes about one and half hours drive to get there from Cape Town. This is a beautiful estate in general, but it’s crowing glory is the Chapel on the grounds that is an architectural masterpiece. It makes you want a wedding immediately. It is stunning. The estate is open and expansive. It is lush and you can see amazing colours of burnt orange and yellow and red in the horizon during sunset. The view becomes even more spectacular through the Chapel windows. The gardens and the fountains that surround the Chapel give a tranquil oasis feeling as one walks through. Bosses is a special place and well worth a visit. I recommend a long lunch with a walk on the gardens after. If traveling with children, no worries, there’s plenty for them to do as there is a kiddies area and the restaurant is very child friendly. I am already looking forward to my next visit there again.
