Every year on my birthday I try my best to go up Table Mountain because it is free on your birthday with a South African ID. 2014 was the year I started going up the mountain and I have done it every year since, if i am in the city in August. I love going up Table Mountain and seeing my city from up there. The fact that it’s free on your birthday really creates an opportunity to go without having to pay. So why not take that. Also, you can go on your birthday and get the ticket and then you can use it on another day as it has a window period.
