When I was studying abroad in New Haven, Connecticut, I spent a lot of time on the Metro North train going to New York City. The proximity of New Haven to New York is really what saved me from that town. There were days when I went to New York just for the day, and other times I would stay for a whole weekend. I really had the time of my life in New York. There was something special about not living in New York in that everytime I went I had to savour it. It did get a bit frustrating when I was having a great time, and then I realised that I need to catch the last train back. It was all adventure, even the times when I had to run from the bar to make sure I get the last train or be stuck in the city until morning. On my days in the Big Apple I would go to the MET Museum, go to Central Park, Sunday afternoon parties at the Standard Hotel, window shopping in SoHo, New York Fashion Week, and so much more…. Oh to be young and gay and driven by the desire for a good time. Here are some of my favoutite pictures from my various adventures into New York City.
