These beautiful photos were taken by my good friend Lungi while we were having fun at Clifton 3rd Beach. The best beach in Cape Town. It is the early days of spring, and the weather was wonderful. I wore paired a print short with a print jacket. I love prints. I have collected a number of print fashion items over the years. Prints are fun. They are great against dark skin. And they are versatile pieces of clothing. Prints have come to be synonymous with African fashion and identity. While prints have come and gone multiple times in fashion cycles, they are a staple in African fashion. There are plenty of places where you can get print fabric in Cape Town. My favourite is Yvette Couture near Green Market Square who made the shorts and the jacket in the pictures. I specifically chose the fabric and the style, and they made these beautiful pieces. The shorts were made more than a year before the jacket. I love the combination because you wouldn’t think it would work, but it does. I really enjoyed the photo shoot and I think you can tell just by looking at the pictures. Enjoy.
