Sunset cruise in the Knysna lagoon

When I was vacationing in Knysna over the Freedom Day and May Day long weekend, my friends, Pierre and I went on a sunset boat cruise everyday. The cruise started in the canals of Thesen Island looking at the beautiful houses, and then we went out into the lagoon. Then after the adrenalin of speeding in the lagoon, we would cruise to the Knysna harbour and looking for oysters. Once the oysters were acquired the boat would go back in the sea to enjoy the oysters and champagne on the boat. It was fantastic. I drove the boat a couple of times. It’s such a rush speeding on the water with the boat. I have since decided that I need a skipper licence so that I can officially and legally drive a boat. The cruising was also special because we were in the presence of two beautiful standard poodles, Nancy and Frank. Mostly though, you see Frank in the pictures. He has a flamboyant personality and commands attention. With Frank at the font of the boat we were guaranteed spectators. It was super fun. By the end of the weekend I knew that I wanted a skipper license and I want a dog. Below are some glorious pictures from the sunset cruises.
