I went to the South African National Gallery. I was there for the opening of “InterseXtion” This was an incredible exhibition by trans people about the lives of trans people in Cape Town. It was moving and beautiful. I was impressed by the National Gallery to welcome the kind of work that the trans community was exhibiting in that space. Keeping in mind the history of the gallery, also the elitist nature of the “art world”, this exhibition was incredibly powerful. It was sunset when I arrived at the gallery, and it was just the perfect time for a photo session on the stairs. This was the results.
