I love wine tasting. I love the pageantry of wine tasting. The tasting at Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines was a unique tasting. We had to make an appointment, and then when we arrived, the people knew who we were because we had a specific appointed hour. The hospitality makes you feel welcomed and it makes you anticipate good service. The service was excellent. Wine tasting is always an experience. I have to be in the mood for wine tasting because it is about the culture of learning about wine but also enjoying wine. I don’t have to write a test about wine after tastings, but I do want to take something away. So every wine tasting is an opportunity to learn more about wine. I started learning more about wine when I moved to Cape Town, many years ago. I have taken advantage of living in such close proximity to the wine country. Although winter can be a fantastic time to take wine, particularly red wine, spring, and summer are the most glorious periods for wine tasting. You can seat outside under a tree, you can enjoy the sunset, and at some wine estates, you can have a picnic. At Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines you are treated like a king. The wines at this establishment are not cheap, so it is worth doing the tasting since the tasting is maybe the closest you will ever get to drinking the wine. The winery is beyond beautiful. It is just gorgeous. I was excited to have pictures taken at the winery. Pierre took some of the pictures. He was able to capture some beautiful moments after the wine tasting.
